Who are we?

art intro

aArtvark is a group which promotes health, wellbeing and security through the use of art in education and therapy. At aArtvark we use a wide variety of techniques such as pencils, pens, pastels, watercolour, acrylic, batik, felt making, clay, papier-mâché, printing, IT- skills, photography and other media. We are an Asdan centre and courses are completed without pressure, often without the knowledge of students, to make it an enjoyable learning environment without pressure.

We strongly believe in integrated learning where all students are encouraged to achieve their goals within their potential.Their work reflects their personality.

All aspects of art are adapted to the individual needs of the students. We have an exhibition every year where the students are involved with the whole process. It is a joy to see how proud the students are to display their work to the public and to discuss it with visitors.

We teach a range of accredited courses such as communication, numeracy, horticulture, computer technology and money. We believe in integrated learning ,focused on life skills and art. We have a great, professional team and are continuously developing our subjects and techniques. Building on social skills is one of our daily priorities.
